Session Descriptions

Sensory Play
Sensory play provides endless explorative and imaginative play possibilities for little ones. When children are exposed to sensory experiences it enables them to learn through problem solving, curiosity and creativity. These opportunities develop their hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, their concentration and cognitive skills as well as development of language and social skills, all while having a whole lot of fun! This activation consists of tactile sensory stations.

The session will begin with our facilitator explaining the various sensory stations then inviting the children to explore and experience one, or all, of the sensory bins alongside their carer.  Our facilitator will be on hand to assist, engage with and encourage the children through the exploration process.

Music Makers

Listening to music, singing songs, playing music and rhythm games are all beneficial to every element of a young child’s development.  Music promotes positive moods, enables children to express emotions, develops creativity and imagination and refines listen skills.  It also stimulates their language, cognitive, social and physical abilities.

These sessions begin with a craft activity where the children create their own musical instrument, followed by a music session with the children participating in simple music, movement and rhythm activities.

Move your Body

Toddlers have boundless energy to exert and dance is an extremely productive way of moving your body and letting it out! Dance is a fabulous way to maintain physical health by strengthening muscles and bones and increasing coordination and flexibility. Dance is a fun way to develop crucial social, emotional and cognitive skills, stimulates confidence, encourages music appreciation and has been proven to be a mood booster! Everyone loves to dance!

These sessions take the children through a series of basic dance and movement activities which are a fun and engaging way for children to develop important physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills that can benefit them throughout their lives.
